I read Paris like the novel it was.
I read Paris like the novel it was.
A vibrant one woman show celebrating Paris during the 1920s
What does heaven look like to you?
For Adrienne, it is as simple as sitting in an
armchair in a Parisian bookshop.
Adrienne: An American in Paris is a spirited and vibrant one-woman play, set within
the decadence of the Années folles.
It’s the 1920s, and the city of lights is alive with romance, literature and possibility.
It is everything Adrienne, a wide-eyed New Jersey bibliophile, dreamed it would be.
But even as she mixes among the literary stars of the Lost Generation, surrounded
with all the stories she could ever want, she soon finds herself feeling more aimless
than ever. After all, when you want life to be like a novel, how can reality ever compare?
